[ Guren smiles, his own fingers running along the side of Dextera’s face. This is his first real date too, but saying that aloud sounds too misleading. There were too many days sitting in the grass, watching the sky and talking about the future. It’s probably the same, even if he never admitted it to himself. ]
How do you like it so far? [ He laughs, because he just keeps asking the same thing. ]
It’s your first date, and I’m the one worried about screwing up.
[ dextera can’t believe he’s the one saying that to guren, but the sentiment is important. guren has done all this for him, and he’s still worried that dextera doesn’t like it.
so dextera sits up, moving so that he’s kind of sitting half in guren’s lap, his legs under him in a way that’s sort of on the blanket and sort of not, but the point is that he’s close.
he cups guren’s face, brushing his thumbs over guren’s cheeks. ]

[ spoken, whispered, whatever—just before he kisses guren again. ]
[ This is so much, he doesn’t know what to do with it. Plenty of people care about him, for reasons he doesn’t fully grasp, but to have it expressed quite like this is... surprising somehow. It’s warm, it’s everything he wants, and he leans into that kiss without hesitation, letting that feeling blossom.

This is the most relaxed I’ve been in years. [ For the record. It’s spoken between kisses, because he follows it with another, grabbing at Dextera’s arm, tugging him slightly closer. It’s... nice. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, and he wants to be, so he leans into Dextera a little himself, wanting more. ]
[ there’s a little pride, at that. dextera was able to make guren relax for the first time in years? surely there’s a prize for such a feat, but then, dextera supposes that precisely this moment is the reward.
dextera yields easily to the kiss, letting guren slowly explore him, until he needs to part for air. his eyes are half-lidded, lips shiny with spit, and his cheeks are flushed an interested, splotchy red. ]

[ he signs quickly, but his eyes are focused on guren’s. ]
[ Ah, yes. The food he made with extra care and they barely touched before laying all over each other. He watches those eyes, drawn in and caught so thoroughly that he forgets how to breathe. He thumbs over his cheek, admiring the color, and leans closer. ]
What food?
[ That’s how he feels right now, closing the distance to kiss the corner of Dextera’s mouth, now, and then his jaw, tenderly. ]
dextera doesn’t mind, though. the food isn’t going to melt or burn or rot without them, if it’s already been waiting here long enough for them to come to this spot in the first place.
[ He smiles, and maybe he really should pull back and slow down. They have time... but he wants this time now. He kisses again, pushier, at his neck, and grins there, too. ]
Hmm. [ Like he has to think about it, but he does lean back, tilting his head. ]
[ wait, no—guren has kissed his neck, and that’s a new sensation all its own. guren pulls back after that, but dextera suddenly thinks he doesn’t want to eat if guren’s going to keep doing that.
dextera is capricious, in this way.
he touches his neck where guren kissed him, glancing back at the picnic basket still filled with guren’s probably painstakingly prepared lunch, and he even seems a little guilty for a moment. ]
[ Guren, however, doesn’t even care if the food sits there for a while. It’ll stay fine, for now, and he’s more interested in Dextera’s clear desire. He leans in, smirking, reaching to rest his hand on the opposite side of his neck. ]
Oh? You liked it?
[ Of course he did, and of course Guren immediately kisses him there again, mouth open and hot and eventually, his teeth scrape over that sensitive skin. ]
[ don’t tease him, guren. of course he liked it, and now he’s going to die because there are teeth on his neck. kissing, he understands. sex, he kind of gets. everything in between is a complete mystery, and this foreplay is too new. ]

[ he moves his hand, both of them now tightening into guren’s shirt. ]
[ Dextera is cute, as always. Guren doesn’t keep up too much with the teeth, just occasionally allowing them to brush against skin, but he does kiss hard still, leaning more into it, enjoying the hands at his chest. Still, they’re outside and Dextera seems shy, so he slows after some time.
[ it is too much, but dextera kind of loves it. he’s shy, but just as before, it’s not shyness that’s stopping him now—he’s horny! it gets to him so easily, when guren touches him, and dextera quickly pulls back to shake his head.

[It is... incredibly obvious when Dextera is thinking lewd things, and Guren sort of appreciates it. He's not always sure he'd be able to tell, otherwise, and so the visual cues are a helpful hint. As if he's not constantly causing these feelings in him a little too purposefully...
His heart is racing, and he wants to just kiss him more, lean over him on the blanket and see what happens. But he's also very used to denying himself. Some patience isn't so bad.]

[ no… there he goes. dextera’s gaze follows him, too hungry for just a moment, but he tries to center himself by patting his own cheek—not quite a slap, but something like it, something that will hopefully get him back on track. they are kind of in public, after all.

[ not the most eloquent or intelligent sound he’s ever made, but it’s probably him agreeing to guren’s terms anyway. ]
[ luckily (unluckily?), that comment goes right over dextera’s head, because there’s suddenly food being pushed into his maw and he’s not going to fight that. ]

[ his lips brush guren’s fingers, but it’s completely innocent—he’s just bad at this. bad at romance, bad at seduction, but he looks like he’s having a good time. ]
[ dextera nods. anywhere guren would like to go, like to do… though dextera doesn’t know what a date should look like. this seems like the pinnacle, after everything else he’s seen. ]
[ dextera smiles, then, like he genuinely did not expect guren to answer “yes.” it’s only because he sounds so casual about it that the surprise doesn’t show on his face. ]

[ but how is he supposed to top this beautiful field of flowers? ]
[He'll have to remember this, so he doesn't accidentally shoo Dextera away while he's working on drugs or missions or god knows what else. He doesn't think he would, at this point, but it's something to keep in mind, regardless.
Anyway, satisfied with how he ate a tiny bit, he sets it aside and leans back completely, back on the blanket over the grass and staring at the sky. Comfortable.]
