[He'd been at work in his room when he first noticed the colors coming from outside of the window. It was gradual, slowly setting in, and a glance outside shows him that he's not just imagining it. It's wild to think that the town was changing like this while they were all in it. Maybe because they were all in it.
A handful of things cross his mind right then. First, that he's been pushing himself again, and that he's starting to get tired. This time, though, he thinks that maybe he can put it down and take a brief break. Then, there's another thought, a memory— hadn't he and Dextera spoken about the sky? Dextera's sky was a blood red, but they talked about blue. Guren considers the sky, the way it looks like it's shifting into the beginnings of a sunset, and then he shuts his laptop and heads out silently.
It doesn't take him long to get to Dextera's house. He's memorized the quickest route, by now, and even if he was trying to be casual about it, his paces were longer than usual to get here before anything vanished or changed.
